Locums Neurology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Locums Neurology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide PRN inpatient coverage in Lima, OH. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced advanced practice provider comfortable working in an acute care hospital setting with adult neurology patients.

Schedule:

• PRN coverage
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• No call required
• No weekend requirements

Practice Setting:

• Hospital-based, 100% inpatient
• Adult patient population only
• Approximately 10–15 patients per day
• 10% trauma cases
• EMR: Epic Carepath

Responsibilities:

• Manage inpatient neurology patients in collaboration with the care team
• Respond as part of the Code Stroke response team
• Perform unofficial radiologic exam interpretation
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat neurological conditions
• Coordinate care plans, consults, and follow-up treatment recommendations
• Document patient encounters accurately in Epic Carepath

Requirements:

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NCCPA for PA)
• Ohio license highly preferred (providers needing to obtain licensure considered)
• ACLS certification required
• NPDB required
• ENLS certification preferred/required per facility
• Prior inpatient neurology experience preferred
