Outpatient Pediatric Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

A respected healthcare organization in Martinsburg is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing outpatient pediatric team. This opportunity is ideal for an advanced practice provider who is passionate about delivering comprehensive pediatric care in a collaborative and patient-centered environment.

The provider will care for pediatric patients ranging from newborns through the provider’s preferred age range while working alongside experienced physicians and healthcare professionals in a supportive clinical setting.

Position Highlights

• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Setting: Outpatient only
• EMR: Epic
• Average patient volume: 16–18 patients per day

Call Requirements

• After-hours phone call only
• No in-person call responsibilities
• Call frequency:
• 1–2 weekdays per month
• Approximately 3 weekends per year

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions
• Conduct wellness visits, preventive care, and immunizations
• Care for patients from birth through the provider’s preferred age range
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active West Virginia license or ability to obtain
• DEA registration required by start date
• Pediatric experience preferred
