A busy Level I Trauma Center in Dayton, OH is seeking a Locums Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage in a high-volume pediatric emergency department. Position Details

• Trauma Designation: Level I Trauma Center
• Total Number of Beds: 59
• Annual ER Volume: Approximately 101,692 visits
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• On-Call Requirements: None

Shift Options

Providers may work a variety of shifts including:

• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat pediatric patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
• Manage high-acuity and emergent pediatric cases within a Level I Trauma environment
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill pediatric patients
• Collaborate with emergency medicine physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
• Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation
• Provide compassionate, family-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, or Emergency Medicine with pediatric emergency experience
• Active Ohio medical license required
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current ATLS certification
