A
Level II Trauma Center in El Paso, TX is seeking a Locums Trauma Acute Care
Surgery (ACS) Physician to provide ongoing trauma and acute surgical coverage.
This opportunity is ideal for a surgeon experienced in managing high-acuity
trauma and emergency general surgery cases within a busy hospital-based
environment.
The
facility is seeking providers for a combination of day and night coverage
shifts in a collaborative trauma program.

Responsibilities
- Provide trauma
surgery and acute care surgery coverage
- Evaluate and
manage traumatic injuries and emergency surgical conditions
- Perform
emergency surgical procedures as clinically indicated
- Participate in
trauma activations and inpatient surgical management
- Manage
preoperative, operative, and postoperative patient care
- Collaborate with
emergency medicine physicians, intensivists, APPs, and multidisciplinary
trauma teams
- Maintain
accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
Qualifications
- MD or DO
required
- Board Certified
or Board Eligible in General Surgery with Trauma/ACS experience
- Active Texas
medical license preferred
- ATLS
certification required
- ACLS and BLS
certifications preferred
