Locums Family Medicine Physician

A healthcare facility in Petoskey, Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity. This is an excellent assignment for a physician who enjoys caring for patients of all ages in a well-supported clinic environment with no call responsibilities.

Position Highlights

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No weekends
• No night call
• Patient Volume: Approximately 20 patients per day
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for adult and pediatric patients
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
• Perform routine wellness visits and preventive care
• Conduct gynecologic exams, including pelvic exams and Pap smears
• Interpret EKGs
• Coordinate patient care, referrals, and follow-up as needed
• Accurately document patient encounters in Cerner EHR

Required Qualifications

• Board Certified in Family Medicine
• Active Michigan medical license
• Previous Family Medicine experience required
• Must be local to Michigan
• Strong outpatient clinical and diagnostic skills
• Comfortable treating patients across the lifespan
