We are seeking a dedicated
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a Rapid Care practice in
Martinsburg, West Virginia on a part-time basis. This opportunity offers
flexible scheduling and the chance to provide high-quality care to patients
with a variety of acute illnesses and injuries in a collaborative clinical
environment.
The Advanced Practice
Provider (APP) will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and
follow-up care for patients presenting with acute and episodic medical
conditions. The APP will collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and
specialists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans while
ensuring exceptional patient care and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients
with acute illnesses and minor injuries
- Perform comprehensive patient
assessments and develop treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as
appropriate
- Perform procedures within scope of
practice and credentialing
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up care
when necessary
- Provide patient education and discharge
instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely medical
documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary
healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
Nurse Practitioner
Qualifications
- Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing
program with a Master's Degree in Nursing
- National Certification through a
recognized APRN Certification Center
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a
Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia
- FNP or ACNP certification preferred
- Current American Heart Association BLS,
ACLS, and ATLS certifications required
- PALS certification encouraged
Physician Assistant
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree
from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician
Assistant training program
- NCCPA certification required
- Licensed or eligible for licensure
through the West Virginia Board of Medicine or West Virginia Board of
Osteopathic Medicine
- Current American Heart Association BLS,
ACLS, and ATLS certifications required
Experience
- Acute Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency
Medicine experience preferred
- Eligible new graduates will be
considered
- Strong clinical assessment and
decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently while
collaborating with physicians and clinical staff
