We are seeking an experienced Remote Health Center Risk and Compliance Manager to lead the organization's enterprise-wide risk
management, corporate compliance, and HIPAA Privacy programs in Arizona. This position is
ideal for a healthcare professional with experience in a Federally Qualified
Health Center (FQHC) or community health center environment who is passionate
about promoting patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational
excellence.
The Risk & Compliance Manager
is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining systems that
detect, monitor, prevent, investigate, report, and manage organizational risk
and compliance activities. This role partners with leadership to ensure
adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a culture of
compliance and continuous quality improvement.
Compensation: $71,523.86 - $89,404.83
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the organization's risk management, corporate
compliance, and HIPAA Privacy programs.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and
systems to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate organizational risk.
- Lead incident reporting, claims management,
investigations, and patient safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and
local regulations, including those specific to community health centers.
- Maintain knowledge of HRSA requirements, FTCA risk
management expectations, and compliance standards for federally funded
health centers.
- Conduct compliance audits, risk assessments, and
investigations, implementing corrective action plans as needed.
- Educate and train staff on compliance, risk
management, HIPAA Privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and recommend policy
updates to maintain organizational compliance.
- Prepare reports and present compliance and risk
management findings to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to
strengthen organizational compliance infrastructure and improve patient
safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively
responsible experience in risk management, compliance, or a related
healthcare field.
- Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center
(FQHC) or community health center strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience leading or supporting risk
management programs.
- Working knowledge of:
- Incident reporting and investigations
- Claims management
- Patient safety initiatives
- HIPAA Privacy regulations
- Compliance frameworks for federally funded health
centers
- HRSA compliance expectations
- FTCA risk management requirements
- Nationally recognized risk management certification
(such as CPHRM) required within one year of hire. Other relevant
certifications will be considered.
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance may be
required for mileage reimbursement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in patient
safety, healthcare risk management, regulatory compliance, or
accreditation.
- Experience working with regulatory agencies and
healthcare compliance audits.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication,
and leadership skills.
