We are seeking a Fellowship-Trained Locums Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join a physician-led organization in Glendale, AZ focused on building and supporting high-performing surgical teams across the United States. Our model emphasizes predictable scheduling, strong clinical support, and allowing surgeons to focus on delivering exceptional patient care in a hospital-based setting.

This position supports a Level II Trauma Center and offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced orthopedic trauma team in a collaborative, well-supported environment. The practice provides a balanced mix of operative and non-operative trauma care while maintaining a strong commitment to quality outcomes and patient-centered care.

Schedule

  • 183 shifts annually (24-hour shifts)
  • Blocked scheduling with 7-day stretches
  • Built-in recovery time between rotations

Responsibilities

  • Provide operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients
  • Participate in trauma call coverage
  • Manage a broad range of fracture care and orthopedic injuries
  • Collaborate with trauma surgery, emergency medicine, hospitalist, and rehabilitation teams
  • Balance surgical cases, inpatient care, and follow-up clinic responsibilities
  • Ensure timely documentation and high-quality patient care

 

Requirements

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship preferred
  • Experience managing orthopedic trauma patients in a hospital-based setting
  • Eligible for Arizona medical licensure
  • Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges
