Locums Medical Assistant-Spanish Speaking

Join a dedicated PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) team providing compassionate care to older adults in the Bronx, NY. We are seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant with strong clinical skills and excellent patient service.

Compensation:  $25-$30 Per Hour

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs
• Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, EKGs, glucose testing, and INR testing
• Process laboratory specimens and coordinate lab orders
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain medical supplies
• Assist providers during patient exams and procedures
• Provide Spanish interpretation for patients and families
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR
• Assist with patient transportation, scheduling, and front desk coverage as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Medical Assistant required
• Certified Phlebotomist required
• EKG certification required
• Minimum 1 year of venipuncture experience (geriatric experience preferred)
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Strong computer, communication, and customer service skills
