Locums Vascular Surgery Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified Vascular Surgeon to provide locum tenens coverage in Youngstown, Ohio. This ongoing assignment offers one five-consecutive-day coverage block per month, including 24-hour call coverage with the possibility of weekend responsibilities. The physician will provide comprehensive vascular surgical care to an adult and geriatric patient population in a collaborative hospital setting.

Assignment Details

• Coverage: One five-consecutive-day block per month
• Schedule: Five days per week with 24-hour call coverage
• Weekend Coverage: Possible
• Call Ratio: Approximately 1:5
• Average Call Back: Approximately 1 hour
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad range of vascular conditions.
• Perform open and endovascular vascular surgery procedures as clinically indicated.
• Provide inpatient consultations, daily rounds, and perioperative management.
• Respond to emergency vascular surgery call and urgent consults.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Vascular Surgery.
• Completion of an accredited Vascular Surgery Fellowship.
• Active Ohio medical license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• DEA registration preferred or required for credentialing.
