Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician

We are seeking a skilled Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician to provide surgical and inpatient care in Richmond, Indiana. This assignment offers a balanced mix of surgical, office, and inpatient responsibilities, making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced physician.

The schedule includes surgical procedures in the morning, followed by office consultations and post-operative follow-ups in the afternoon. You will also oversee post-operative patients in the ICU, with an average census of 2-5 patients admitted at a time. Emergency coverage will be required as needed, along with inpatient and ER call duties. There are no outpatient office call responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery.
• Active Indiana State Medical License required.
• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Certifications:
• TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) experience is mandatory.
• BLS (AHA-issued) certification.
• Vaccination Requirements:

o    Flu vaccine (medical or religious exemptions accepted).

o    COVID-19 vaccine (medical or religious exemptions accepted).
