Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat
patients presenting with a broad range of emergency medical conditions
- Perform emergency procedures
within the scope of Emergency Medicine practice
- Stabilize critically ill and
injured patients
- Order and interpret laboratory
tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic evaluations
- Collaborate with residents,
specialists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to provide
high-quality patient care
- Accurately document patient
encounters using Meditech
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
- Completion of an accredited
Emergency Medicine residency program required
- Ultrasound Fellowship preferred
- Active Texas medical license or
ability to obtain licensure
- Current DEA registration
- ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS
certifications, as required
