Hematology Oncology Physician

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematology & Medical Oncology Physician to join a growing, patient-centered cancer program in Martinsburg, West Virginia. This is an outstanding opportunity to provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care while participating in the education and mentorship of future physicians in a collaborative academic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with benign and malignant hematologic disorders and solid tumor malignancies
  • Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing the latest evidence-based therapies
  • Administer and manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and supportive care
  • Interpret laboratory studies, pathology reports, and diagnostic imaging
  • Collaborate with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, primary care providers, and other specialists to provide coordinated, multidisciplinary care
  • Participate in tumor boards, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical program development
  • Actively teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation using the electronic medical record

 

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency
  • Completion of an accredited Hematology/Oncology fellowship
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology
  • Eligible for or able to obtain a West Virginia medical license
