We are seeking an experienced
Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a
growing Heart & Vascular Institute in Martinsburg, West Virginia. This
leadership role combines advanced clinical practice with APP team oversight
while working alongside a collaborative team of cardiothoracic surgeons and
multidisciplinary providers.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care for cardiothoracic surgery
patients, including preoperative and postoperative management.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans in collaboration
with cardiothoracic surgeons.
- Lead and mentor the APP team, assisting with staffing, onboarding,
credentialing, scheduling, and professional development.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care and ensure high-quality,
patient-centered outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, education, research,
and departmental leadership activities.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with
hospital policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (ACNP or FNP preferred) or
NCCPA-certified Physician Assistant.
- Minimum of 3 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience required.
- Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.
- Current BLS certification (ACLS as required by the department).
- Must obtain and maintain both West Virginia and Virginia licensure.
- Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making
skills.
