Locums Neuroendovascular Surgery Physician

A Level I Trauma Center in Youngstown, Ohio is seeking a Locums Neuroendovascular Surgery Physician to provide ongoing stroke and neuroendovascular coverage. This is an excellent opportunity to join a comprehensive neuroscience program delivering advanced care for acute ischemic stroke and complex neurovascular conditions.

Position Highlights

• Coverage: One week per month (7 days on/7 days off)
• Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM with 24-hour neuroendovascular and stroke call responsibilities
• Call Coverage: 12 hours in-house and 12 hours beeper call, based on departmental needs
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• EMR: Epic
• Facility: Level I Trauma Center

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 neuroendovascular call coverage while on service
• Respond to Emergency Department stroke alerts at all hours during assigned coverage
• Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute ischemic stroke and other neurovascular emergencies
• Perform mechanical thrombectomy and other neuroendovascular procedures as clinically indicated
• Collaborate with neurology, neurosurgery, emergency medicine, critical care, and multidisciplinary stroke teams
• Participate in inpatient consultations and ongoing neurovascular patient management
• Document patient care accurately using Epic

Qualifications

• Board Certified in an appropriate specialty with neuroendovascular expertise
• Active Ohio medical license
• Current BLS certification
