We are seeking a full-time Orthopedic Trauma Nurse Practitioner or
Physician Assistant to join a busy, collaborative orthopedic trauma program at
a Level III Trauma Center serving south-central Idaho. This is an outstanding
opportunity to work alongside experienced orthopedic trauma surgeons, providing
comprehensive inpatient, emergency department, operative, and follow-up care.
Position Highlights
- Schedule: 175 ten-hour
shifts per year

- Hours: 6:30 AM – 4:30

Responsibilities
- Evaluate and
manage orthopedic trauma patients in the emergency department and
inpatient setting.
- Round daily on
hospitalized orthopedic trauma patients.
- First assist
orthopedic trauma surgeons in the operating room.
- Perform fracture
management, splinting, casting, wound care, dressing changes, and
postoperative care.
- Participate in a
dedicated orthopedic trauma follow-up clinic.
- Coordinate
patient care with emergency medicine, trauma surgery, rehabilitation,
nursing, and case management.
- Educate patients
and families on treatment plans and recovery.
Cases Include
- Pelvic and
acetabular fractures
- Upper and lower
extremity fractures
- Hand injuries
- Routine
pediatric fractures
Qualifications
- Graduate of an
accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current or
eligible Idaho NP or PA license.
- NCCPA
certification (PA) or national NP certification.
- Orthopedic
trauma or surgical experience preferred.
- New graduates
with a strong interest in orthopedic surgery are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent
