Locums Internal Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Locums Internal Medicine Physician to provide outpatient coverage in Point Pleasant Boro, New Jersey. This is a six-month assignment with an established primary care practice while the facility recruits for a permanent provider.

Compensation: $150 Per Hour

Position Highlights

• Assignment Length: Approximately 6 months
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Setting: Outpatient
• No call
• Patient Volume: 15–20 patients per day
• Join a collaborative team of 3 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider
• No procedures required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient internal medicine care.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Perform preventive care, annual wellness visits, and health screenings.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate specialty referrals when appropriate.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing, and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Active New Jersey medical license required
• Current DEA registration
• BLS certification preferred
