Locums Family Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Locums Family Medicine Physician for an outpatient primary care opportunity in Franklin, Virginia. This position offers a predictable weekday schedule with no call or weekend responsibilities.

Position Highlights

• Coverage Dates: September 21, 2026 – December 18, 2026
• Schedule: Monday–Wednesday, 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
• No weekends
• No call
• 10–16 patients per day
• Outpatient primary care only
• No trauma responsibilities
• EMR: Epic

Patient Population

• 51% Adult
• 48% Geriatric
• 1% Pediatric

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient Family Medicine care.
• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Provide preventive care and health maintenance.
• Perform routine primary care procedures, including Pap smears and diabetic foot exams.
• Manage diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and other common chronic conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing as appropriate.
• Provide patient education and counseling.
• Coordinate specialty referrals when needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic.

Qualifications

• Board Certified Family Medicine Physician
• Active Virginia medical license required
• Current DEA
• BLS and ACLS required
