Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician

We are seeking a Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for a hospital-based opportunity in Lima, Ohio. This position provides adult cardiothoracic surgical care with a combination of rounding and 24-hour call coverage.

Position Highlights

• 24-hour call shifts: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
• Coverage dates: 9/11 at 7:00 AM – 9/16 at 7:00 AM
• 10–14 days of call coverage per month needed
• Weekend coverage required
• Hospital-based rounding and call
• Average 1 case per day
• Level II Trauma Center
• 20 operating rooms
• Adult patient population
• EMR: Epic

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiothoracic surgical coverage and inpatient rounding.
• Respond to surgical consultations and emergencies while on call.
• Perform and manage cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
• Evaluate and manage pre- and post-operative patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Provide appropriate follow-up and management of surgical patients.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship training required
• Active Ohio medical license required
• BLS and ACLS required
