Locums OBGYN Physician

We are seeking a Locums OB/GYN Physician to provide clinic and procedural coverage in Alpena, Michigan. This opportunity offers a consistent weekday clinic schedule, a manageable patient volume, and support from an experienced clinical team.

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM–12:00 PM
• Clinic Volume: Approximately 2 patients per hour, depending on appointment length

Clinical Support

• Three nurses scheduled per shift
• A midwife will be available beginning in September to assist with call coverage

Procedures & Responsibilities

The physician will provide comprehensive OB/GYN care and perform procedures including:

• Suction D&C
• Laparoscopy
• Reading and interpreting NSTs
• Cesarean sections
• Circumcisions
• Tubal ligations

Additional Details

• EMR/Dictation: Epic and Dragon

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible, with certification required within 5 years
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Recent case logs demonstrating:
• At least 50 deliveries within the past 12 months
• At least 25 GYN procedures within the past 12 months
• Michigan license preferred
• Candidates participating in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) will be considered
