Lead Family Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Urgent Care

We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team as a Lead Provider in Westbrook, Maine. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinically strong provider who enjoys fast-paced urgent care and is ready to take on a leadership role supporting providers and clinical staff.


As Lead Provider, you will deliver exceptional patient care while serving as the clinical leader for the practice, helping establish a culture of teamwork, clinical excellence, and continuous professional development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across the urgent care spectrum
  • Provide evidence-based treatment for acute illnesses, injuries, and common medical conditions
  • Serve as the clinical leader for all clinical staff
  • Mentor, coach, and support new-graduate FNPs and PAs
  • Provide clinical guidance and serve as a resource for experienced providers and allied healthcare professionals
  • Promote consistent clinical standards, quality, and patient safety
  • Support onboarding, education, and ongoing professional development
  • Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, medical assistants, and other members of the care team
  • Help foster an efficient, patient-focused urgent care environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $135,000–$290,000

Qualifications

  • Current Family NP or PA certification and state licensure
  • Strong clinical experience in urgent care, family medicine, emergency medicine, or a related setting
  • Previous leadership, mentorship, or precepting experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop early-career providers
