Locums Neurology Physician

We are seeking a Locums Neurology Physician for inpatient coverage in Richmond, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for a neurologist comfortable managing acute neurologic conditions and performing a broad range of inpatient procedures.

Assignment Details

• Coverage Dates: Monday, December 14, 2026 at 7:00 AM – Monday, December 21, 2026 at 7:00 AM
• Potential for additional future dates
• Inpatient Neurology coverage

Required Skills & Procedures

Mandatory:

• Thrombolytic therapy for stroke
• EEG
• EMG
• Spinal/paraspinal/epidural blocks
• Brain death examinations
• Lumbar punctures
• Subdural taps

Non-Mandatory:

• Nerve biopsy
• Muscle biopsy
• Nerve conduction velocity (NCV) testing
• Botulinum toxin (Botox) administration
• Evoked potentials
• Peripheral nerve blocks

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• For Board Eligible physicians, certification must be obtained within 5 years of residency
• Active Virginia medical license
• Minimum 2+ years of experience
• Current BLS certification
• Flu vaccination required; medical or religious exemptions may be considered
• COVID-19 vaccination required; medical or religious exemptions may be considered
