Locums Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locums opportunity in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This position is for night shifts only and requires ABEM certification. The physician will provide 24-hour emergency department coverage in a high-acuity hospital setting with comprehensive specialty and ancillary support.

Clinical Environment

The Emergency Department is supported by a broad range of hospital services, including:

• Advanced surgical and operating room capabilities
• Intensive Care Unit and Progressive Care/Step-Down Unit
• Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Obstetrics and maternity services, including perinatology
• Cardiac services, including catheterization, coronary interventions, electrophysiology, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation
• Advanced imaging, including X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine
• Inpatient behavioral health services
• Physical, occupational, and speech therapy
• Surgical specialties including orthopedics, spine, ENT, urology, oncology, vascular, gynecology, and robotic surgery

Requirements

• ABEM certification required
• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
• ATLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• Active Virginia medical license
