Orthopedic Trauma Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Willing to Train

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Orthopedic Trauma Surgery team in Goodyear, AZ. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing orthopedic trauma patients across the continuum of care—from initial consults to post-operative follow-ups—and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform inpatient and emergency room consultations for orthopedic trauma cases
• First assist in the operating room with trauma and acute orthopedic surgical procedures
• Conduct pre-op and post-op patient evaluations and rounding
• Perform procedures such as joint reductions, splinting, and wound care
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons, orthopedic staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Participate in care coordination, discharge planning, and patient education
• Rotate coverage including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Qualifications:

• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Current Arizona licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
• Orthopedic or trauma surgery experience required (preferred: 1+ years)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
• Strong clinical decision-making, procedural skills, and ability to work independently
