Locums Vascular Surgery Physician

Seeking an experienced, Board-Certified Vascular Surgery Physician for locum tenens coverage in Fairfield, Ohio. This opportunity involves providing comprehensive vascular surgical care to an adult patient population in a Level I Trauma Center. The physician will provide inpatient and outpatient care, perform endovascular and surgical procedures, and participate in a rotating beeper/phone call schedule.

Position Highlights

• Level I Trauma Center
• Adult patient population
• Daytime schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Call coverage with a 1:4 rotation
• Average daily patient volume: 10–15
• Patient mix: approximately 80% inpatient and 20% outpatient
• EMR: Epic

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient vascular surgery consultations and conduct daily rounds.
• Evaluate and manage patients with vascular conditions and surgical needs.
• Perform endovascular interventions and vascular surgical procedures.
• Provide outpatient clinic evaluations and follow-up care.
• Participate in after-hours beeper/phone call coverage.
• Respond to urgent and emergent vascular surgery cases as needed.
• Coordinate care with trauma, critical care, and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board Certified in Vascular Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Vascular Surgery.
• Active Ohio medical license.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
