Locums OBGYN Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Kearney, NE. This position provides inpatient coverage at a 268-bed regional referral center to support staffing gaps. The physician will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, perform daily inpatient rounds, manage consultations, and respond to emergency department calls, including urgent deliveries and gynecologic emergencies.

• Setting: Acute care hospital with inpatient and outpatient services
• Facility Size: 268-bed regional referral center
• EMR: Epic
• Coverage: Inpatient OB/GYN coverage, including emergency department call

Responsibilities

• Provide daily rounds on all patients admitted to the OB/GYN service.
• Evaluate and manage consultations received during the assignment.
• Respond to emergency department calls for precipitous deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Provide gynecologic emergency consultations, evaluations, and treatment as needed.
• Diagnose and manage conditions arising during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.
• Perform major and minor abdominal and vaginal surgical procedures involving the female pelvis and related structures.
• Manage obstetric and gynecologic emergencies and coordinate appropriate patient care.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and other specialists to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic.

Requirements

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active Nebraska medical license or IMLC eligibility with an active Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• Completion of an OB/GYN residency through an ACGME- or AOA-accredited program
