Locums Radiology Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified Radiology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Windber, Pennsylvania. The physician will interpret diagnostic imaging studies and perform light interventional radiology procedures, supporting high-quality patient care in an onsite clinical setting.

 

Responsibilities

·       Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies as assigned.

·       Conduct image-guided biopsies, including thyroid, bone, lung, liver, and renal biopsies.

·       Perform CT-guided and ultrasound-guided procedures.

·       Complete drainage procedures, including paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess drainage, chest tube procedures, and cyst drainage.

·       Perform diagnostic lumbar punctures, myelograms, and epidural procedures.

·       Perform arthrograms and joint injections involving the knee, elbow, hip, ankle, and shoulder.

·       Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with the healthcare team.

 

Practice Details

·       Daily Volume: Approximately 90–100 studies per 8-hour shift

·       Expected Productivity: 60–70 wRVUs per shift

·       EMR: Epic

·       PACS: Merge

·       Dictation System: Fluency

·       Setting: Onsite

·       Weekend Requirements: None

·       On-Call Requirements: None

 

Qualifications

·       MD or DO degree.

·       Board Certification in Radiology.

·       Active Pennsylvania medical license.

·       Current DEA registration.

·       Experience performing light interventional radiology procedures, including image-guided biopsies, drainages, lumbar punctures, and arthrograms.
