Locums Gynecology Oncology Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gynecologic Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Lansing, Michigan. The physician will provide outpatient and inpatient gynecologic oncology care, perform surgical procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care to adult patients.

 

Responsibilities

·       Provide outpatient clinic care and inpatient consultations for gynecologic oncology patients.

·       Evaluate, diagnose, and manage gynecologic cancers and related conditions.

·       Perform gynecologic oncology surgical procedures.

·       Manage an average of 20 clinic patients per day.

·       Perform approximately 3–4 operating room cases per day when scheduled in the OR.

·       Collaborate with medical oncology regarding chemotherapy oversight and treatment planning.

·       Participate in rotating weekend coverage and a 1:4 call schedule.

·       Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR.

 

Practice Details

·       Patient Population: 100% adult

·       Clinic Volume: Approximately 20 patients per day

·       OR Volume: Approximately 3–4 cases per day when assigned to the OR

·       Call Ratio: 1:4

·       Weekend Requirements: Rotating weekends

·       EMR: Epic

·       Trauma Designation: Level I

 

Qualifications

·       MD or DO degree.

·       Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gynecologic Oncology.

·       Active Michigan medical license.

·       Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

·       Current DEA registration.
