Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Fly in @ 210k

An opportunity is available for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a Cardiothoracic Surgery team in Rapid City, South Dakota. This overnight role provides coverage in a highly resourced hospital, supporting patients in both the ICU and inpatient setting.

Schedule & Compensation

·       Night shifts: 5:00 PM–6:30 AM

·       14 shifts per month

·       Two weeks on / two weeks off

·       Annual compensation: $210,000

Clinical Setting & Patient Volume

·       Highly resourced hospital environment

·       Coverage across the cardiothoracic surgery ward and ICU

·       Typical nightly census:

o   3–6 ICU patients

o   10–15 inpatients

Responsibilities

·       Provide overnight clinical coverage for cardiothoracic surgery patients.

·       Assess and manage patients in the ICU and inpatient setting.

·       Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status.

·       Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams.

·       Support continuity of care and communicate clinical updates to the daytime team.

Requirements

·       Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with eligibility for South Dakota licensure.

·       ICU or cardiac clinical experience required.

·       Cardiothoracic surgery or critical care experience strongly preferred.

·       BLS and ACLS certifications required.

·       Acute-care specialty certification preferred.
