Locums Orthopedic Surgery Physician

An opportunity is available for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgery Physician to provide 24/7 orthopedic trauma call coverage in Kearney, Nebraska. The physician will provide inpatient and emergency department coverage at a Level II Trauma Center, managing orthopedic injuries and performing surgical procedures as needed.

• 24-hour call coverage
• 24/7 coverage
• Inpatient and Emergency Department setting

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic surgery coverage for Level II trauma patients.
• Evaluate and manage orthopedic injuries and fractures.
• Provide general orthopedic care and fracture management.
• Perform orthopedic surgical procedures as needed.
• Respond to emergency department and inpatient consultations.
• Coordinate patient care with emergency medicine, trauma, and other specialty teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency.
• Active Nebraska medical license.
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
• Proficiency in general orthopedic care and fracture management.
